It's a great starting set for those who just need basic ratchets, combination wrenches, sockets etc. The construction is standard Craftsman so it won't be anything exotic like Snap-On, but this will work for almost any home mechanic. As for the box itself, the construction is great and the top storage deck is great for other assorted tools you might have. The only real gripe I have about the entire set is the plastic storage/organization trays they give you. They're simply molded plastic for the pieces to rest in. Any movement and they'll go all over the place. So be warned, you'll probably want to throw those trays out and just organize everything yourself.
